Making a Difference

The Medical Practice Support Alliance (MPSA) puts its members' expertise and resources behind a focused set of priorities. Together, we act as one force to defend the No Surprises Act (NSA) and the practices that rely on it.

Our priorities

Where we put our weight.

01

Coalesce and mobilize

Unite as a single force for medical practices. MPSA is dedicated to using its expertise and influence to protect clinicians from being pushed out of network.

02

Defend the dispute-resolution process

Protect the NSA's Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process. Insurers hate oversight so they're trying to eliminate it. We won't let them.

03

Strategic communications

Engage in strategic communications to build awareness of insurer abuse and make sure the letter and spirit of the No Surprises Act is honored.

04

Legal initiatives

Participate in targeted legal action, including amicus briefs and litigation, to help stop insurers' efforts to weaken the No Surprises Act.

05

Mobilize in the states

Work with key states to ensure the federal NSA IDR processes and framework serve as a backstop for select state-specified plans (SSPs).

06

Engage policymakers

Engage with state and federal policymakers to keep the rules fair, and to make in-network contracting easier for practices.

The bigger picture

A leading voice, with room to grow.

Because insurer abuse threatens patients, clinicians, and independent medicine, MPSA works with community partners to defend the No Surprises Act.

We will keep finding new ways to support the medical community, wherever practices and patients need a unified advocate.

Stronger together

Reinforcing Americans for Fair Health Care

MPSA's communications and advocacy amplify AFHC's work on behalf of more than 70,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians fighting insurer abuse.
